Interiors & Editorial Photography
Charleston | Southeast
I'm Drew Castelhano, an interiors and editorial photographer based in Charleston, working across Atlanta and the Southeast.
I shoot moody. I'd rather sculpt light than flood a room with it. The craftsmanship a designer obsesses over, the grain in the millwork, the seam in the stone, the way a dark wall holds the light at the end of the day, should survive in the photograph instead of getting washed flat, and careful light across the whole room is how I keep it. A bright, evenly lit room doesn't interest me. The feeling of standing in it does.
Everything I photograph is a real space, shot on location. In post I give every frame the finishing that high-end interiors call for, clean color and the quiet removal of small distractions, so the space looks its best. If you hire me, it's because you built something real and need pictures that prove it.
Most of my shoots are co-licensed. The designer, the builder, and the makers on a project split one shoot day, and each licenses the images they need. One day, several budgets, and everyone gets the work.
My editorial work has run in Charleston Style & Design and Atlanta Style & Design, including the Summer 2026 Charleston cover. I think hard about where images go after the shoot, whether that's a feature pitch, your portfolio, or marketing that has to last for years.
